Major Scope of work includes:
General and Enabling Works:
i) All General and Preliminary works including Project Information Management Software System (PIMSS), Building Information Model (BIM) and Project Schedule Simulation for Employer’s Employees (Engineers) Training in Kuwait.
ii) Construction of furnished and equipped site offices for the Employer/Engineer and Supervision Consultants throughout the duration of supervision of Works. These offices shall be engineered and constructed by the Contractor all as per approval of the Engineer. The exact location of the site offices shall be agreed at a later date.
iii) The Contractor shall provide a temporary sewage holding tank for the whole duration for the temporary site offices. He will be responsible for clearing and disposal of sewage to MPW approved Sewage Treatment Plant on regular basis
iv) Provision of covered Car Parking for the Employer/Engineer and Consultant’s staff as detailed in the Documents, during the supervision of works.
v) Sub-surface utility investigation, relocation of existing utilities, demolition works, access roads and drainage works.
vi) Fencing Works at locations shown on the Drawings.
vii) The Contractor, during the execution of works, shall ensure that no construction materials, wrappings or debris are allowed to be blown or dropped onto the airside area to prevent these can obstruct and block taxiways, runways, and cross taxiways be sucked in by aircraft jet engines; blow into moving aircrafts, causing costly damage and disruption to the operation of the Airport.
viii) Temporary power, through the use of generator/s, required for the execution and completion of the Contract. Power shall be provided for the site supervision offices and shaded car park used by MPW and the supervising Consultant. This Power shall be provided for the duration of the contract and maintenance period.
Maintenance and Operation of the General and Enabling Works
i) The Operation and Maintenance of the General and Enabling Works for site offices and all other facilities will start from the date of completion and handing over of the site offices and facilities to the Employer/Engineer.
ii) All of the above works shall be continuously operated and maintained throughout the duration of the Contract plus the two year Maintenance Period.
Demolition works as shown in the limit of Contract Drawings, shall be executed as per the Contract
Topographic Survey: The Contractor shall prepare topographic survey drawings and submit them to the Employer/Engineer.
Catering Building: Approximate Built-up Area 69,000m2
Airport Logistics Consolidation Center : Approximate Built-up Area 26,200m2
Security Gates/Gate Houses
Central Plant : Approximate Built-up Area 4,700m2
Electrical Substation : Approximate Built-up Area 630m2
Tunnels:
i) APM/Baggage Tunnel: Approximate Length 510m
ii) Cargo Tunnel : Approximate Length 80m
iii) GSE Tunnel East : Approximate Length 512m
iv) GSE Tunnel West : Approximate Length 676m
MV/LV Equipment like Transformers/Switchgear, Duct bank, Cabling, Pits, security screening equipment
Aviation Fuel and Hydrant System with Hydrants and fuel pipelines including Testing and Commissioning.
External Works – Airside
i) Airside Infrastructure (Pavement, Service roads, Traffic Signs & markings, Fencing etc.
ii) Airside Utilities (Storm drainage Sewer System, Water, Irrigation, Fire Fighting etc.
iii) AGL & AFL: Fixtures, Poles, Cans, Cabling, CCR, Guidance Signs, Controls etc
iv) Passenger Boarding Bridges(PBB): PBB, Foundation, Anchoring, Earthing etc
v) PCA & GPU: Piping, Chillers, AHU, Ducting , Pits, Controls, Cabling, Boards, Pits etc.
vi) VDGS: Gantries & Brackets, VDGS, GOS, Cabling Control Pits etc.
vii) Other Special Systems: Potable Water, Blue water, Sanitary Systems etc.
viii) IT Network: Cabling, Patching, Routers, Duct banks, Pits, Controls etc.
